Fuel Filter for Rally IV

So, from questions on air filters, to questions on fuel filters...

Having contacted the two foremost part suppliers here in New Zealand, both have scratched their heads over which fuel filter a 2002 1.3 Sirion takes (didn't bother mentioning the 'Rally' part, that would have just confused them further...). I thought I'd resolve this by going online back in the UK and checking, but no-one seems to list one... Anyone have any clues as to what replacements are available, brand names, part numbers etc? I just need to get an idea so that I can cross-reference one here in New Zealand...

Next stop is the main dealer, but I know that's going to cost...

As far as I am aware this is the filter !!.

2003 Sirion Rally 4. And I love it.

Just called my old main dealer back in the UK, and they confirmed that Fuel Filter does indeed live in the fuel tank. One less thing to buy and change! Smiling

I was told this had a fuel filter in it. It apparently has a little valve in it which smooths the flow of petrol to the injector rail.

It is constantly under pressure so you have to release the pressure carefully to take it off.

I was led to understand it had a small pencil filter in it, a bit like the filter for the oil supply to the valves. Smiling

But I aint taking it off to find out ok Smiling

Like Bob says it may have a fine gauze filter built inside but its not shown as a separate or replaceable part in the parts diagram.

Each fuel injector has a small fine gauze "filter basket" in the injector inlet as well.
