I am new to this board, reside in China and into aircrafts business need your help. A while back both a Daihatsu 1.6 (carburetor) used engine on Taobao (Chinese eBay) picture were misleading but that is not unusual China, anyhow, the engine had to be completely overhauled , that is no panacea in China either, parts are just not existent and the spare parts salesman would know a spark plug from a water pump. Never the less found all the spares needed and downloaded the workshop manual. Here lies my problem; the workshop manual is a not very explicative just brush over the topics leaving the rest to imagination. My problem is the sensors as the engine had the entire sensor broken and some are missing , I noticed under the distributor there is two sensor position and would like to know what sensor fit there and what they sense, switch or otherwise. The other sensor is on the cup holding the thermostat, would like to know what is the purpose of that sensor. The engine is intended for a test bench to test propellers speed reduction units. I would appreciate any technical help, pictures or whatever you have.
