Hi And welcome. Okay first

Hi And welcome.

Okay first off good choice Smile to answer your questions:

- The YRV Turbo came with a 10 spoke 15" Alloy wheels with 175/55/R15 tyres fitted.

- For parts, depending what you need, then for cheapness E-bay, or paying a premium it would be a Daihatsu Dealership.

Although there maybe other places. Bobf maybe able to help here. If there is something like parts for the car you need then give DaihatsuDave a shout as he has a scrapper YRV Turbo with plenty of parts available to buy off him.

I do have standard part off my Turbo which I maybe willing to part with, such as the standard 15" alloy wheels (Needs refurbing and maybe some new tyres), as well as the standard rear shocks and turbo springs after replacing them with uprated parts.

For wheel nuts again E-Bay, plenty for sale, but it will depend on the alloys.

I take it the 17" Alloys arn't to your liking? I am currently running on 17" alloys and find it suits the car, but tyres can be expensive. Also When you go back to the standard 15" alloys, then try a slightly wider tyre than the 175, as the biggest issues with these car with teh stock tyres is going round the corners.

Hope this helps?

mine has 205x40x17 tyres on

mine has 205x40x17 tyres on the reason i don't like them is because it looks like the wheel studs are not long enough for the wheels.

so far my list of parts is:

wheels
front disks as last owner fitted wrong ones ie: the smaller disks.
wheels nuts

Okay. Maybe spacers have

Okay. Maybe spacers have been fitted to the hubs but the standard bolts have been kept on the car? 205 tyres? I could only get away with 195's on my ET38 wheels. Interesting. For after market wheels smaller bolts can be used to go flush with the wheels.

Okay so the 234mm discs instead of the 246mm ones used only on the YRV Turbo & Copen.

Wheel nuts, and discs are easy enough to source on E-bay.

Also noticed your not that far away from me (Staffordshire), I live in Cheshire.

just found another problem

just found another problem the fag lighter and electric mirrors don't work and i could not find a ignition live for the radio.

if there a fuse for the fag lighter and mirrors as i couldn't find 1 for those Unknw

yer u just up the a500 from me.

there are no spacers on the wheels and the bolts imo dont tighten down on enough thread.

really dont trust these wheels wouldnt mind a set of standard wheels untill i can afford some better ones.

Okay I would check the fuse

Okay I would check the fuse box first. The under tray area where you put stuff under the Steering wheel is where it's located, and there is a plasitic cover to pull away and the fuse box is behind that. The fuse box cover should have a diagram of what does what. Must be either a 5 or 10 amp that's blown for some reason.

Yep not far from the A500. Have seen a yellow turbo on the A34 near to the Makro round-a-bout a couple of years back, which was standard and still had the Turbo 130 side stickers, though I was seeing a mirror image at first :-). A mate of mine recons he has seen one also around the Biddulph area too.

Umm, interesting, if no spacers then it must be something to do with the bolts then.

Worth giving Daihatsu Dave a shout as he has a lot of spares, he too has some original alloys that he might have going spare. I could look to sell you mine if your interested? Not in the best of conditions though, and as stated will need some refurbing work done on them.

how much would u be after for

how much would u be after for the wheels as i only need some temporarily until i can afford some nice ones so the condition dont matter at least i know they are safe.

Looking at £100 for the 4

Looking at £100 for the 4 wheels and the tyres already on them.
Must warn you that the tyres may not be in a very good condition, in other words may only just have enough tread depth to make them legal.

its not that there's a

its not that there's a problem with the wheels its that the wheels studs don't seem long enough, the wheel nuts have not got much thread to use. each wheel nut only tightens for about 1cm.

Yeah it's either the

Yeah it's either the serpentine belt which joins up the alternator, water pump etc.. which is an easy enough fix, which will mean a new belt, or if it's anything like mine it could the the timing chain inside the engine. Don't forget the turbo model should have a 6 monthly service, which basically mean oil change etc..
