My daihatsu was fine, then on the way back from a friends it has started to vibrate at about 30-40mph and I mean vibrate you can feel it through the steering wheel it still vibrates if I press the clutch what could it be. I know they all vibrate but this does not feel safe.

Could it be the prop shaft, if so would it still vibrate if the clutch is disengaged, or would that mean the wheels need balancing?

When I was at my friends house I removed the rear spare off the back door as it was putting a lot of strain on the door hinges. This is when the bad vibrations started would this be connected in any way. I know it sounds stupid but thats the only other thing I can think of.
wheel balance.
I assume its the front thats vibrating.
Check tyre pressures.If correct pressures then get the wheels balanced. Probably lost a weight from the wheel rim. Have a look at the rims [inside and out] - you will probably find a nice clean spot from where the weight came off.
The wheel on rear door will just be coincidence.:)
