Just in case anyone is thinking of doing it, it is quite easy. Only trouble was getting the caliper slider pins out as there was no grease left! VERY tight, but all sorted.
Old Discs and Pads (not too bad, but not too good either)

New discs (Mintbitz performance discs) and pads (EBC Ultimax):

Also changed the airfilter which was really filthy!! (that's obviously the old one in the bag)

Criky What a mess !!
There in a real state arn't they !!
Nice new discs and pads though.

A bit too late!
I read through that thread and really wanted to order that, but didn't have time as the car is due to go in for MOT tomorrow. Will probably order it when I do the YRV Turbo brakes in a couple of months.

Great Information.
Hi G.
Great Information and thanks for it.
I have a question that some on here may have some answers to.
I am going to need new discs soon as the ones on it came with the car and to be honest are crap !!
I note the discs on the Mintbitz site above are Non Centre Vented. My Sirion Discs are Centre vented.
Would the above discs above be ok as they are vented in other ways ?
Look forward to your answers.
Cheers, Bob.

Depends on the application...
The Charade OE discs are specified solid. Mintbitz do a huge variety of discs, and I saw that they use OE or better standard discs and then machine them according to your needs, either grooved, drilled, dimpled or a combination that you want. So I'm sure if you order discs for a Sirion, they will be vented. I will update on any degradation of the discs, especially during winter. But seems there stuff is good quality, not "performance" discs as such, but definitely better than standard, and at a very good price. Looks quite cool too
