First time buyer

Daihatsus are good cars, and very reliable. One thing to bear in mind is if something does go then the prices (As for most Japanese Cars) are quite expensive. I had the experience of driving something similar recently as a courtesy car which was a mark 2 Subaru Justy, which is basically the same car as the mark 3 Sirion. First impressions was it was an okay car, but you sit quite high up, but the fuel economy was very impressive, but being a 1 litre lacked something (Possibly because I own a couple of turbo performance cars), geraing was nice, but somehting I did find a little frustrating is that the steering wheel got in the way of the dash binnale, and the display etc.. got masked when you turned the wheel. Aircon system was very good and cold, but lowered the power somewhat. Boot had a lot of room, and it apperas that the back seat (Like the YRV) can be adjusted, and unlike the YRV had a proper parcel shelf.

It all depends on what you want to use it for. But as small run-a-bout for shopping visits etc.. and you can't go wrong. For longer journesy on a motorway then it may not suit.

Also there are different types of sirion, and engines as well as extras. The justy that Subaru do only comes in 1.0 litre guise. The sirion comes in 1,1.3 & 1.5 litre as well as S, SX trims. The latter comes with front gog lights for example. Worht alook on the daihatsu.co.uk site for details.
