can anyone HELP me.... my speedo cable has snapped and my mechanic ordered new one from daihatsu dealers...... its too SHORT..... the dealers are saying thats the only one they supply...... also canT get hold of a new exhaust system........ they dont make this particular exhaust anymore.... can anyone help.... cant go anywhere in my lovly van PLEASE!!!!

Can't you cut and weld the exchaust piping to fit? most back garages will do this for you. Also the speedo cable can it not be temporary joined with a bit of mechanical knowledge. to Loops of wire and a coupler joint? temporary but sound, seem's easy to me.

i could give it a go... well not me but i will take it local garage... just dont want anyone to fix it...i dont know anything bout cars/vans/ etc so wouldnt be able to fix speedo myself.... will take it to the auto electrician???

Where do you live ?
Dont need your home address or anything just a rough area.
Have you thought about Stainless Steel Exhaust?
Could work out cheaper in the long run.
You could also get an electronic speedo.
Just fix a few wires and job done.

never heard of stainless steel exhaust???
or an electric speedo..... until yesterday lol.... would the auto electrician be able to do that or would i have to order one from somewhere and then they fit it??

Exhaust and speedo.
The Exhaust would have to be custom made. You need to look around in Yellow pages or on the internet Google Stainless steel exhausts in Cheshire and see what you come up with.
