re bigger fuel filter

Hi can anybody advise me of a bigger fuel filter i can use as wvo keep blocking up the lift pump filters on my 98 tdx fourtrak, Change the filter and away you go again good as gold, there must be a more tolerant filter on the market, Can anybody help!!!!!!!!!!! Many thanks in advance

Filter blockage.

Hi.

For the filter to keep blocking you must have a lot of crap in the tank, or are you filling from your own supply, rather than a fuel station. If you are using your own storage tank, consider fittting a filter to the outlet. I only change my fuel filter once a year, as part of a service, have never had a filter block, even when changing to a veg oil mix which loosens all the crap in the tank. And I drain the filter quarterly to remove water deposits.

In addition i would check your supplier if it is a filling station, many do not bother cleaning their tanks due to recession. This saves considerable costs, but means if they have smaller diesel storage tanks which regularly run low before replenishment, crap enters your vehicle in the diesel.
