Hijet 1300 brake pipes

Anyone had the brake pipes (front to rear) replaced on a Hijet 1300 EFi van? How much does it cost?

I've just blown one near the load sensor valve above the rear axle. Add to that a new rear section on the exhaust and, sadly, it may not be worth repairing this Oct 1999 LPG van even though it's in pretty good condition and only has about 60K on the clock.

CUNIFER !

If I remember rightly they used to call this stuff Cunifer.

Most garages (Even back street ones) can make up your pipes in minutes these days.

Shouldn't cost very much either.Eye-wink

Rear box is the same. Pattern part for about

2003 Sirion Rally 4. And I love it.

Replace them all in copper or cupro-nickel, they will outlast the vehicle. All you will need to do is replace the brake fluid every two years as recommended by the manufacturers and eliminate the rusty brake pipe problem.

I had all my brake pipes replaced (in Copper) for the MOT and it cost 65 pounds (last year)
Well worth doing even on a 99 Hijet

Is your local Garage a Main Dealer ? Sad

You NEVER NEVER take it to a main dealer for stuff like brake pipes.
They will rip you off and boy did you get ripped off.
Sorry about the cost but it really shouldn't have been that much.

I wouldn't count new brake pipes as "major repairs", the chassis needed patching is more serious...

You got ripped off, 285 is pretty high. I take it you won't be going back there?

Some great and encouraging answers there thanks i have to do pipes on Monday. the mot mentions an equaliser at the front of the van is that a regulator or something Else?

two Hijets 1995 998 petrol & 2003 LPG petrol 4x4 efi.
