Locate the wire on the back
Locate the wire on the back of the gauge that goes to the fuel tank sender unit, remove the wire from the tank end and with the ignition on, short and hold to a good earth. If the gauge goes up to full its in the sender unit.
If nothing happens then take a wire directly from the gauge sender wire and short directly to earth with the ignition on. If the gauge goes up to full it is a fault in the sender to gauge wiring.
If nothing happens then check the gauge itself, has it got power with the ignition on, if so its duff.

Guage problem
Hi.
I believe there is a previous post on this, have a look via the Site "Search" box, includes test for dash gauge , also check the wiring, try a temporary set up to see if you get a reading.
