Hello, wondering if you might be able to give a complete car-novice some advice please?
The engine won't tick over when ignition is turned but the lights, horn, wipers and indicators all work ok. The battery warning light hasn't come on. The van was jump-started and driven for 20 mins with no problems. Tried the following morning to start the engine but nothing, although lights, horn etc are still working. Sometimes there's a faint sighing when the ignition is turned.
Anyone had any similar experiences?
Thanks for reading this.

Does the Starter motor turn over nice and quickly when you try to start the engine - or does it not?

Tell us more please.
