daihatsu feroza-engine bmw

i would like to know if somebody knows if the bmw engine (318is) or another model of more powerful engine fits into feroza?...

iv read somewhere that some were built with bmw engines, and i think they were the 316i and 318i but dont know if they use the same mounts. Ive thought about it myself as i can get hold of 3 series engines pretty easily.
