Road Tax (VED) for Hijet

Why are our little vans so expensive on road tax? I have a 1.3 Hijet that runs on lpg (from new), and has similar economy to a diesel getting 65-70mpg.

Could the Drivers Club lobby for lower ved for micro-vans?

Can anybody help please, as so far I have drawn a blank.

you should be paying the same as i do* (i think) £66 per 6 months.

*993 EFI no LPG here
