Asked a question today, why do i use Daihatsu Fourtrak engines for so many other things, the answer was simple, because they deliver good reliable power coupled to good fuel consumption.
Over the years i have marinised many for fitting into boats, currently doing two for another friend changing his petrol engines for diesel in his 45footer.

Used these engines for a range of other uses, one runs a farm where there is no mains electricity, this is coupled to a large bespoke alternator to provide both single and three phase electricity.

Several have been used for replacing engines in mobile generators and portable lighting sets, and one is now fitted to a lorry mounted mobile concrete crusher.
