The Daihatsu Charade is not overally common in the UK for a Daihatsu, and also has changed a lot over the years. In the 80's you were pretty much stuck with the 1 litre model, but you did have the option of a turbo version which speed wise rivalled many performance cars at the time, and boasted of 0-60 in about 7.9 seconds (manufacturers estimate).

In the mid 90's a 1.6 16 valve version was released which is rare in the UK but boasts of 130bhp and 0-60 in under 9 seconds. Charades are commonly modded when you can find one and are expensive to insure as your local thief tends to like them too!!
